Jason Thomas is the CEO of Raincatcher, a national M&A advisory firm serving lower middle market business owners across a range of industries. With more than 20 years of experience spanning real estate, hospitality, and M&A, Jason advises business owners on strategic transactions, growth opportunities, and successful exits.
Jason leads Raincatcher’s Real Estate Services vertical, with a particular focus on the firm’s Vacation Rental Advisory practice. He works with vacation rental management companies, hospitality businesses, and real estate service providers on business sales, recapitalizations, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives. His experience as both an advisor and business owner gives him a practical understanding of the financial, operational, and personal considerations involved in a transaction. Prior to Raincatcher, Jason held senior roles in commercial and luxury resort real estate, overseeing acquisitions, development, sales, and transaction strategy. He also built and exited businesses as an owner operator.Personal
Jason is originally from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he grew up in the Lowcountry before heading west to Colorado. After more than 20 years in Colorado, he now calls Evergreen home.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys skiing, mountain biking, camping, fly fishing, bowhunting, and taking in Colorado’s music scene with his wife and two daughters. He also serves as an active field team member with Alpine Rescue Team, a Colorado based volunteer mountain search and rescue organization.
