Project Wayfinder: Commercial Sign Manufacturer, Designer, and Installer with Loyal Customers in a Wide Range of Industries

Well Positioned for Growth; Solid Reputation for Quality Work; Long-Tenured Staff of Dedicated Craftspeople

Multiple major projects booked for 2022 representing over $2 million in revenue backlog.

Located in Greater Denver, the Company owns and manages two synergistic companies in the design, production, and installation of interior and exterior signage for healthcare, education, retail and restaurant, and other commercial clients throughout CO and nationwide. Operating from two facilities in CO, the Company produces both for its own customers and serves as a wholesale supplier to a variety of national and regional customers

The Company is owned by two majority Co-Owners as well as several small investors who don’t participate in the Company’s day-to-day operations.

Originally established 35 years ago, the current owners acquired the interior signage design and installation company in 2015 and acquired the fabrication company in 2017.

Both have established independent long-standing relationships with customers across a wide range of industries.

The Company leases two facilities: the interior signage company leases 6,200 s.f. space with showroom, offices, fabrication, and warehousing, and the fabrication company leases 16,200 s.f. of fabrication and office.

Both companies have a reputation for producing on-time, quality work, reliably. The fabrication company is able to build complex signs that many other companies can’t.

New owners would benefit from the support of the existing owners as well as the Company’s experienced staff during the transition.

Purchase Considerations

~ Expected Transaction Value Range - $1.5M - $2.5M

~After 17 years of working for corporations, the Co-Owner wanted a chance to run their own small business, and pooled funds from several business school friends, including the current Co-Owner, to purchase the Company in 2015. The original owners were ready to retire, and the new Co-Owners saw an opportunity to improve on an established business.

~Over the next few years, they worked to add products and capabilities, streamline operations, and grow their customer base. In 2017, they acquired a wholesale fabricator with a reputation for high-quality work.

~Combined, the two shops have been able to serve a larger variety of industries and customers on both the wholesale and retail levels. They’ve completed projects for local governments, healthcare centers, event venues, universities, housing developments, and more.

~Today, the Company has an established customer base, an excellent local reputation, and a portfolio of quality completed projects. It’s well positioned for growth, with high potential to increase business with existing and prospective customers, both locally and nationally.
