Meet the Team: Susan Frew

Susan Frew sits at the helm of Raincatcher’s Value Builder services. A certified coach in both Value Builder and Profit First, she brings more than 30 years of experience to the team as an entrepreneur, author, public speaker, business coach and all around power-house of positive energy and focused intention. Her candid, real-world advice is always delivered with a smile and an action plan on how to improve, optimize, and maximize business goals of all shapes and sizes.

As the CEO of her own company, Sunshine Plumbing Heating Air, Susan grew the business by 535% in just one year by creatively using seven deceptively simple tools coupled with some good old-fashioned elbow grease. As an essential business during COVID, Susan was able to lead Sunshine by maintaining a 60% Gross Profit and 14% net profit for 2020.

As a result, Sunshine Plumbing Heating Air now boasts a coveted spot on the INC.com 5000 List as one of the INC.com Best Places to Work. To date, the company has won a total of 43 prestigious industry awards and accolades for business growth, integrity and community service, amid a field of 950 competitors.

Susan has earned a solid reputation as a go-to business-growth coach for the trades industry. She has coached more than 150 trade businesses (in 18 different trades) back to profitability amid tough markets and recessions. The reason so many business owners trust her advice is that, as a fellow business owner, she has, “been there, done that, gotten the t-shirt,” in her words. There is very little Susan hasn’t personally experienced as a business owner.

She even experienced a less-than-honest employee who caused 1 Million Dollars in debt. That is what Susan calls “A Bad Hire,” and the wisdom she managed to glean from the ordeal has become the cornerstone of her “Overcoming Setbacks in Business” speeches and storytelling.

Susan has taken everything that she has learned-- the good, the bad and the ugly-- about growing her company, and then subsequently bringing her company back from almost going down the drain (plumber pun intended!), into not only a wealth of experience to share as she coaches but keynote speeches too:

Susan has traveled the world as a former International General Manager with AT&T Wireless. She has hosted her own radio show on ESPN radio titled “Coaching, Not Just for Sports,” and she is active as an Instructor with the SBA’s National Emerging Leaders Program. Before starting her own coaching, speaking and consulting practice, she honed her skills for seven years as an award-winning Action Coach franchise owner.
