Proud to Be a Female-Led Business Brokerage
| March 8, 2023
The business brokerage world is certainly not one with a reputation for female inclusivity. But Raincatcher is a business brokerage done different.
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2023, #embraceequity, we are proud to share that we are leading the change in our industry as a female-led company. Our mission is to break the bias of what being a business brokerage firm means and bring service and integrity to our field.
We work together as a team, with females making up 61% of our full-time staff. At Raincatcher, we support entrepreneurs in several ways. We can help you sell your business, measure and improve the value of your business, or match you to your next best acquisition to continue building your legacy.
We will be with you every step of the way.
Raincatcher CEO Marla DiCarlo was born into an entrepreneurial family. Working at her family’s pet shop starting at age eight, she managed the cash register, helped with inventory, animal care, and practiced her sales skills. Her career later pivoted into accounting, which became the foundation of her approach to business leadership.
“Being steadfast in the way you do business is crucial, especially in today’s economic climate,” says DiCarlo. “Compassion, service, and integrity are the foundation of Raincatcher as not only a brand but the way our team members show up to work each day. No matter what is happening externally, we show up with the greatest good for all in mind.”
Marla is an accomplished business consultant with 30 years of professional accounting experience. Marla DiCarlo is the Co-owner and CEO of Raincatcher. Raincatcher has been named #1 Business Broker by Inc. Magazine, along with 2020 Best Workplace and #376 on the 2021 Inc 5000 List.
Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Marla previously owned a fractional CFO company, and her experience spans accounting, M&A, finance and management.
In 2018 Marla partnered with Jason Thomas as co-owner of Raincatcher. Together they are equally committed to building a bias-free workplace where people of all backgrounds are welcome. In celebration of International Women’s Week, we’d like to introduce the strong women that are a part of the Raincatcher Team.
“I myself was raised by an entrepreneurial mother and understand the importance of female leaders in business. At an early age, I experienced the incredible impact female leaders can have on businesses, which is why I am so proud to be partners with Raincatcher CEO’s, Marla DiCarlo, and employ nearly half of a female team. I strongly believe having diversity in the workplace improves problem-solving, creates a wider perspective for the entire organization, and builds a stronger culture,” says Thomas.”
